You are probably bored or unfulfilled at your current job and you see all these people making money online and you think….I will start a blog, right?

Or you’ve seen the income reports where bloggers show 5-6 digits a month as revenue. Now you’re thinking: those are some impressive numbers and I am a sucker for not doing it sooner.

Or you’ve seen the income reports where bloggers show 5-6 digits a month as revenue. Now you’re thinking: those are some impressive numbers and I am a sucker for not doing it sooner.

Who wouldn’t want to make that much just from blogging? Stay at home, travel the world, do whatever you want….and make money while doing it…..

Yeah….So, what do you do?

Well….you research how to do a blog, you find the hosting service, purchase your domain, decide what platform to use. You start the blog on your own and try to figure things out.

Unfortunately, you get stuck! Figuring things out isn’t working out so well for you because you still have this big question: How do you make the money?

You start Google-ing “rich bloggers,” “successful bloggers,” “make money blogging,” etc.  You read what these rich bloggers have to say about how they made their first $1000 or the next $1,000, $5,000, $10,000….. You read this because you figure if they are going to be generous and share their knowledge then you would be foolish not to take it.

Here are the things you will read about:

• You must write great content
• You must use Pinterest, Facebook, and Instagram to promote your content
• You must build your mailing list
• You need to find your niche and focus on it
• You need to create your own product

Now you start thinking: it makes sense, right?

So, now you start doing all these things. Yey!!! Pat yourself on the back, because at least you are doing something or you think you are doing them. Sometimes though, these can be hard. What I mean with this is that you may think you are writing great content, but you’re biased, because you worked so hard to put it together, so it’s hard to tell….

Sometimes starting a blog can be hard. What I mean with this is that you may think you are writing great content, but you’re biased, because you worked so hard to put it together, so it’s hard to tell…. You think you are doing everything right. You share your blog posts on social media, but if things would go so smooth and easy, then you would be overflowing with traffic…. Yet, that is just not happening. So, what’s the problem?

You start thinking about it, how to make it better, what you need to learn about blogging that you haven’t learned yet. You even go around buying different blogging courses because everybody tells you that you need to invest in your education. So, to help solve the puzzle you spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars on courses. But, after you spend all that money you realize that you didn’t really learn anything new, at least nothing new that you couldn’t find the information for free, and that they all give the same advice, but they just say things differently.

Now you start thinking; what if these bloggers are withholding something? What are they not telling you? Why would they do that? Let me start that most of them don’t probably do it intentionally. Some might, though. Some of them just don’t want to admit why their blog is a success.

Let me start that most of them don’t probably do it intentionally. Some might, though. Some of them just don’t want to admit why their blog is a success. So in this blog post, I want to share with you some things that I realized are happening with these bloggers.

So in this blog post, I want to share with you some things that I realized are happening with these bloggers.

The Secret Your Successful Bloggers Don’t Tell You

1. Forget Original Content

That is…..at least in the beginning. When starting off is very hard to come up with things to write about. Heck, half the time you have no idea what you are doing anyway.

That is…..at least in the beginning. When starting off is very hard to come up with things to write about. Heck, half the time you have no idea what you are doing anyway.

So, when you first start blogging, forget about trying to come up with unique content ideas. Instead, research your niche and see what topic is successful. Look at your competition. See why their content is kicking ass in your niche and then just write a better version of it. Do not copy and paste. Rewrite the topic in your own words.

If you pay attention, every popular blogger’s most popular post is a rehash of another similar post from somewhere else.

So, when you start blogging, you have two options: wing it and hope your content attracts people or write content about a topic that you already know is successful in your niche.

Now, you’ll say: but that content has already been written!

Answer: So, what? You’re not the first nor the last to write about it. You think every person in your audience has read that content elsewhere?

Whenever I start a blog (I only have 2 right now….it’s a lot of work) I start brainstorming about what direction I want to take with that blog. So, I begin finding post ideas within the niches those blogs are in and that I’ve seen do well with my audience. Then I write those blog posts on those topics.

If those bloggers are not really telling you all this, why does that happen? I think because those bloggers want you to think they did an original piece of content, but what they actually did wasn’t new (most of the times it isn’t). Instead, they just put their spin on it. That is what makes it original.

So, if you want to have a blog that takes off from the beginning, this is what you need to do too.

2. Create How-To and Lists Blog Posts

These are some of the best converting pieces of content. You still need to research what topic is successful in your niche, but now, you need put together a list about that topic.

Not sure what that is? Take this post for example. This post is a list.

When your audience sees a list of 10 things about this and 6 things about that, and how to do…. whatever….they come to your blog because they are expecting a promise from you. They come to your blog because they know they are going to learn about 13 pack your closet more efficiently.

There is a similar situation with the “how to” blog posts. The problem starts when you do not deliver what you promised. Think about when you wanted to learn about blogging. How many blog posts have you read about how to start blogging, how to make your blog successful, how to this and that?

The problem starts when you do not deliver what you promised. Think about when you wanted to learn about blogging. How many blog posts have you read about how to start blogging, how to make your blog successful, how to this and that?
So creating a content that includes lists and “how-tos” shouldn’t be the only content you create. At the same time, don’t be surprised if they end up being the majority of what you write.3. Teach Others How to Make Money Blogging

3. Teach Others How to Make Money BloggingSo, the cat’s out of the bag! You’ve seen this right!

So, the cat’s out of the bag! You’ve seen this right! People that have successful blogs made their blogs successful because they help other people make money. When you can promise that you can help other people get rich, leave the jobs they hate, create the lifestyle they long for…. they are going to pay you.

People that have successful blogs made their blogs successful because they help other people make money. When you can promise that you can help other people get rich, leave the jobs they hate, create the lifestyle they long for…. they are going to pay you.Think about the blogs you read yourself. Do you think it is a weird coincidence that the mommy blogger, beauty blogger, fitness blogger, travel blogger, food blogger, and personal finance blogger all happen to have courses on Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, etc. about blogging or affiliate marketing?

Think about the blogs you read yourself.

Do you think it is a weird coincidence that the mommy blogger, beauty blogger, fitness blogger, travel blogger, food blogger, and personal finance blogger all happen to have courses on Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, etc. about blogging or affiliate marketing?

The thing is, you can make good money by sticking to your niche. You will also hit a plateau after a while. So you will have to find other ways you can generate revenue and an easy way to do it is to teach others how to be successful with their blogs.

It’s just the name of the game.

What is ironic about this is that very few of the bloggers that make money from blogging will admit that this is how they make the bulk of their revenue. They don’t tell you that you should create a course on how to make money with using social media. Instead, they will tell you that they can show you the techniques they used to make $15,000 in 4 weeks.

Listen, I do the same thing. I teach others to find their niches and how to make money in that niche. I teach others how to bridge the transition from full-time 9-5 employee to make money from home and work for themselves. I am in this industry myself. There is a lot of competition, but there are also a lot of opportunities. What I am saying is that is room for everybody. It’s just the name of the game.

It’s just the name of the game.

If that is not something you aren’t passionate about, you can go a different route. If you want to teach people how to lose weight then that works as well. Same if you want them to have the best skin care, or how to get rid of acne, wrinkles, and fine lines….It’s also one of the things that I do and I’ve seen great success from it. If you want to show people how to organize their closet then you can go that route as well.

What I am saying is that you must create some kind of blogging course to make money. I’m saying that if you want to generate a lot of revenue then that is the route you’ll need to take.4. Some niches are not worth your time

4. Some niches are not worth your time

If you were looking to sell a blogging course to the largest audience possible then wouldn’t it make sense to tell them that they can make money blogging in any niche?

Even better, you can tell them that they should follow their passion!

I have several blogs and I don’t start them in just any niche. That would be dumb. In fact, there are only 5 blog niches that I’m interested in. I’m still working my way up there.

But why is that? Because I know that blogs in those niches are successful. I must have to find the time to create the other ones.

So if you want to blog about something unusual like a specific topic like fairy dust…that doesn’t mean it cannot be successful. But it doesn’t necessarily mean that it will.

Remember when I mentioned the mommy bloggers and that they write about everything that is a topic for women? They cater to their audience. It’s not just mommy stuff. It’s about house stuff, diy stuff, organization, making money from home while you raise your kids, etc. Her blog is successful because she writes about a wide variety of topics that interest a lot of people. She is making a lot of money with her blog because she is selling course and even books she creates about how to start a blog and how to make it successful.

So focusing on a specific niche can be overrated. I used to teach about focusing on a niche and writing about that niche. But I realized that when you do that you are limiting yourself.

When your niche is a broader or a popular niche and you have a big audience, then you don’t have to focus down on just a specific topic.

It drives me crazy when somebody tells me that their blog is for women at a certain age. It drives me crazy because they are limiting their audience, their potential, and their revenue.

Wouldn’t make sense to start things off the bat catered to a wider audience? Wouldn’t make sense to approach different topics and see which one is the most popular? Wouldn’t make sense to figure out what your audience is interested in so you can narrow things down if you want?

5. Share income reports

Income Reports Work. I’ve seen lots of bloggers ask why do other bloggers write income reports and the reason

But doing this for 2 years now, I came to realize that they are used for marketing purposes.I don’t do income reports (stupid me). It’s just a thing that I don’t really like to talk about because there are a lot of factors that determine the amount of money you make: your skill set, your determination, consistency, etc…. Not everybody is at the same level. But what I do, is I share opportunities that allow you to be successful.

This is the hardest one to swallow because just the word “salesperson” makes a lot of people cringe. That is true even for me because most people don’t want to be annoying and they think salespeople are annoying because most are.

Most people I know don’t want to send out 100 messages/day to other people to sell their product or opportunity. But at the end of the day, you must do just that because it is necessary if you want to make money. Check your inbox. I’m sure you are subscribed to a lot of things. Do you see somebody you consider of influence sending you 5 emails about a product there are launching and the day of the launch you are inundated with messages about it?

They do this because they want to grab your attention. It might annoy you. That is not their goal though. They want to make sure their launch is successful. You might not be interested in their product, but somebody else on their list is. Think about somebody that claims that they are making $10,000/month. That is not even a lot of money in the blogging industry. There are many top bloggers that make that money x 10 every month. But it is something attainable. So, you look at how they make that money and you notice that they are selling a $99 course.

Don’t ignore the obvious. Blogging is a business where everything is out in the open. You just have to dig a little deeper sometimes. For the most part is pretty obvious (unless they are running ads) how they make money and what works and what doesn’t work for them.

Often, when we see the obvious, we think that, nah…. this is super easy. So, we ignore the signs and we are looking for something super-secret that we must find out.

The community I am part of doesn’t try to hide these things from its members. We share and talk about what works for us and we support and build each other up because it’s best to be positive, positive attracts positivity, you surround yourself with good people that are uplifting and helping you grow while they grow… There is room for everybody!!!
